# Basic Filters

### How to use it

Create a new *Post Selection* or edit an existing *Post Selection*.

In the **General** tab, **select** your Item Layout then select **Post Types** to filter by.

Use *Sort by* and *Sort order* to sort by for e.g. Date or Title, then **select** *Sort order* Ascending or Descending.

Click on the **Update** button to publish your *Post Selection* changes.
